Objectives & requirements
- Purpose of the site (informational, commercial, portfolio, etc.)
- Target audience
- Main functions and features to be implemented (feedback forms, gallery, etc.)
- Competitive sites and their features
- Technical requirements (hosting, CMS, integrations)
Structuring & prototyping
- Developing a site map, defining pages and sections
- Creating prototypes (wireframes) that show the arrangement of elements on pages without design
Design
- Development of visual style, including color palette, typography, icons and other design elements
- Creation of key page layouts (homepage, internal pages, mobile versions)
- Consideration of UX/UI requirements for
a user-friendly and intuitive interface
Development
- Website page layout using HTML, CSS and JavaScript
- Integration with content management system (CMS) or development based on frameworks
- Implementation of interactive elements and functions (forms, animations, filters, etc.)
- Connection and customization of databases, if required
Web testing
- Functionality testing on different devices and in different browsers (cross-browser and adaptability)
- Testing functionality (forms, links, interactive elements)
- Optimize page loading speed and performance
- Security testing (e.g. SSL certificate)
Launch
- Setting up and uploading the site to the server (hosting)
- Domain setup
- Re-testing on the server to make sure everything is working correctly
- Updating design or functionality as needed
Each of these stages requires close interaction between the designer and the client to ensure that the site meets
all requirements and successfully accomplishes its goals.
